Export options

Besides a comprehensive set of predefined printable reports that you can save as a HTML, CSV or text file, you may also export data to your own applications: The explorer module is capable of saving user-defined SQL queries as Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. You don not need to install Excel for saving data as XLS sheet: the explorer module has built in support for it. LAN Survey comes with several predefined queries as:

• Computer inventory
• Software Inventory
• User inventory
• Software on computers
• A User logon summary

Within these queries you may insert run time parameters that prompt users of the query for values. Use the template option to load or save queries for export to or import in other databases. For even more advanced possibilities, like setting up  direct connections through ODBC (Crystal reports and Microsoft Access ) to the LAN Survey database, consult the user's manual.
